Privacy Policy
Summary
Stackful is designed so that the supplement information you enter stays on your iPhone.
Your data is only stored on this iPhone.
There is no Stackful account and no app backend, and the app contains no advertising or analytics. If you subscribe to Stackful Plus, the subscription transaction is processed by Apple.
This policy covers the Stackful app for iPhone, version 1.0, and this website.
Information stored by the app
The information you enter into Stackful can include:
- supplement names and, if you add them, brands and notes;
- stock amounts;
- daily-use amounts;
- measurement units, including units you name yourself;
- stock additions and correction history;
- optional prices and optional retailer links;
- archive and pause state;
- dates, such as start dates and the dates of stock changes;
- notification preferences, such as how many days before the estimated empty date you would like a heads-up.
This information is stored locally inside Stackful’s app container on your device. Stackful does not transmit this supplement information to the developer.
Like other app data, it may be included in iPhone backups that you create with iCloud Backup or on a computer, according to your Apple settings. Stackful does not access those backups.
If you add a retailer link and open it, the link opens in your web browser, and that website’s own privacy practices apply.
Information the developer does not collect through Stackful
The Stackful app has:
- no Stackful account;
- no application backend;
- no developer-operated cloud storage;
- no analytics SDK;
- no advertising SDK;
- no cross-app tracking;
- no sale of personal information;
- no iCloud or CloudKit synchronisation in version 1.0.
Apple, as the provider of iOS and the App Store, and Cloudflare, as the host of this website, process some technical information under their own policies, as described below. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide the developer with aggregated usage statistics and crash reports through its developer tools. Stackful does not add its own analytics.
Notifications
- Notification permission is optional.
- Stock heads-ups are scheduled locally on your device.
- Declining notification permission does not prevent you from using Stackful.
- You can change notification settings at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Purchases
- Stackful Plus subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple.
- Apple processes payment, subscription and transaction information under Apple’s own policies: Apple Privacy Policy.
- Stackful uses Apple’s StoreKit on your device to determine whether an active subscription exists.
- The developer does not receive your payment-card details.
- Purchase information is separate from the supplement information stored in the app.
Retention and deletion
- Supplement information stored in the app remains on your device until you edit or delete it, or delete the app.
- You can delete individual supplements, and individual history entries, using the controls in the app.
- Deleting Stackful currently removes the Stackful information stored on your device.
- Version 1.0 has no cloud backup, synchronisation or manual export.
- The developer cannot recover information that has been deleted on your device.
- Cancelling or not renewing Stackful Plus does not delete supplement information. If more than three supplements are in your Cabinet when Plus ends, Stackful asks you to choose three to keep in the Cabinet and archives the others, keeping their details and history.
Support email
If you choose to contact espen.lund95@icloud.com, the developer receives your email address, your message and any information you decide to include.
This information is used only to respond to you, investigate the issue you report, keep necessary correspondence and meet legal obligations.
Please do not email medical information or other sensitive personal information that isn’t needed to help you.
You can ask for your support correspondence to be deleted by writing to the same address. Some information may need to be kept for legitimate legal or administrative reasons.
Website hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare may process limited technical information, such as:
- IP address;
- request and routing information;
- device or browser information;
- security logs.
Stackful does not add analytics, advertising trackers, cookies or contact forms to this website. Cloudflare’s handling of information is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Children
Stackful does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or backend, because the app has neither.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Stackful’s functionality or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when it does.
